bbi and Boston Cannons Join Forces to Create a New Cannons Fan Email Newsletter
ROCKLAND, Massachusetts — June 5, 2003 — bbi MARKETING INC., a full-service marketing and advertising agency, and Major League Lacrosse (MLL) team the Boston Cannons, recently launched a 15-week interactive email campaign.
The email newsletter dramatically improves the online experience for the fan by providing game previews, game recaps including box score, player interviews and special offers. It also gave Mark Kastrud, Director of Sponsorship Sales for the Cannons, another media outlet to help grow both the product and sponsorship revenue. The email campaign will run weekly throughout the 15-week MLL regular season and playoffs, with plans to continue bi-weekly through the off season.
The Boston Cannons (www.bostoncannons.com), one of the six MLL teams, play their home games at Cawley Memorial Stadium, in Lowell, MA. Major League Lacrosse (www.majorleaguelacrosse.com) showcases the best professional outdoor lacrosse in the world. The league is currently comprised of the following teams — Baltimore Bayhawks, Boston Cannons, Bridgeport Barrage, Long Island Lizards, New Jersey Pride and Rochester Rattlers.
